On 19 January 2024, Milieudefensie sent a notice of liability to ING, announcing a climate court case. Over the past year, we have done more research into the bank and gained new insights. The ruling of the Court of Appeal in our case against Shell confirmed these. So on 16 January 2025 we sent ING an updated notice of liability with an updated set of demands, and on 4 February 2025 ING answers that it is not willing to meet these demands.
