Our Statement of Defence on Appeal

On October 18th (2022) we sent our joint Statement of Defence on Appeal in our climate court case against Shell. In the 250-page document, we respond to Shell's arguments and explain why Shell should stop causing dangerous climate change.

In addition to this Statement of Defence on Appeal, we also submitted 2 expert statements to the court. These statements explain why the climate court case is of vital importance. And why the verdict (45% CO₂ reduction by 2030) really contributes to achieving the climate goals as outlined in the Paris Agreement.
