Why it is irresponsible for financial institutions to support the gas project in Mozambique

A gas project by TotalEnergies in Mozambique is halted due to violence and human rights violations. Nevertheless, Total wants to restart the project. Therefore, more than 120 organizations have sent a letter to all involved financial institutions. We ask them to withdraw their support.

In the letter, we explain why Total's gas project poses risks to people in Mozambique. And why it is irresponsible for financial institutions to support this project.
