We examined the climate action plans of 7 Dutch banks, insurers and pension funds. In this study we assessed the transparency and integrity of their climate plans of 2023.
The research of SEO Amsterdam Economics shows to what extent the climate plans of 7 Dutch banks, insurers and pension funds comply with the international agreements that the Netherlands has made to prevent dangerous climate change. The results of the research are disappointing and disturbing: no bank, insurer or pension fund is doing enough. No company is ´in the green´. In fact, all these companies are – still – on a collision course with the climate.
