COP negotiators need to support indigenous land rights

Sixty five organisations are calling for COP negotiators to support collective land and territorial rights. Together we underscore the essential role that Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendant Peoples, and local communities play in safeguarding forests and stabilising the global climate. And ask negotiators to include these rights, direct finance to communities and protection of environmental human rights defenders in the outcomes of the climate COP in Belèm.
